About us ...

Colin & Eunice Potter

However you came to this site - whether a friend, out of curiosity or just ‘window shopping’ for a church to belong to, we’re glad that you came and we hope that you will find all you want to know. We believe that ‘church’ is about people, people who have discovered God’s love and are eager to celebrate it together and share it with others. As a church, our aims can be summed up in 3 words: Gather, Growth and Go.

To gather in friendship - Church is never to be impersonal. One of the most exciting things about church life in the Bible was the way they shared their homes, their lives, their goods. With the disintegration of the family and community all around us, we want to demonstrate God’s love to people inside and outside of the church family.

To grow in Christ - Our aim is to see people become valued members of God’s family, the church, where they will grow as Christians, becoming stronger in their faith and more devoted to Jesus

To go in mission - Our reason for existing as a church is not for ourselves, but to find our satisfaction and joy in worshipping God. We have been called to take his love to his world, across the street, across the country, across the world - telling the good news of what Jesus has done for us all.

We hope that you will, in some way, pick this up from this browse through our web site.

So who are we?

We are a group of people from all walks of life, who have found the Lord Jesus Christ to be real and meaningful. We are committed to living out the Christian faith in the context of our everyday lives.

We part of an international family of churches called Newfrontiers, which is an apostolic team ministry that works with nearly 600 churches internationally. We are also members of the Evangelical Alliance.

We believe that God is in the business of restoring lives, his church and his kingdom, and as such we want to see believers who are living in the fullness of God's promises, enjoying the fullness of God's grace, having freely received his love without condition or obligation, confident that salvation is a gift which can not be earned.

We are committed to the bible as the inspired and revealed word of God, It is the basis for everything we teach and the guidance for our lives both individually and in our life together. We love it, honour it, and teach it. KCCB is an extended family that cares for the needs of one another and our communities. Family life, marriage and good parenting are highly valued, protected and nurtured.

Our worship is expressed in a variety of different ways. Whatever way it is expressed we believe that it should be wholeheartedly and Spirit led. Worship is an expression of our devotion to God, in which every believer participates, in song, prayer and gifts of the Spirit. In every meeting, small or large, our first concern is to offer God our love and thanks, whilst seeking to enjoy and experience God's presence and the fullness of his blessing.
